Meet Our Coaching Staff
Founder & Coach
Coach Alex is a dedicated youth sports coach with over 10 years of experience as well as a deep passion for excellence in training and helping young athletes grow. As a proud father and lifelong athlete, he understands firsthand the positive impact that fostering confidence, resilience, and teamwork through sport can have as children carry the lessons learned through sport into all aspects of life. Coach Alex believes in creating a positive, encouraging environment where kids can develop their skills, embrace challenges, and discover their full potential.
Basketball Coach | Private Training
Britney Kagabo is a passionate basketball coach with over a decade of playing experience. Coach Britney brings both high-level playing experience and a strong background in youth development to the court. She began playing basketball at a young age and has competed at various levels, including recreational, competitive, and as a member of a JUEL Prep team during high school.
Throughout her playing career, Britney was recognized for her talent and leadership, earning spots in multiple city and provincial all-star games. Specializing as a post/center, she understands the importance of footwork, positioning, and strength in the paint—skills she now passes on to her players.
She is committed to creating a positive and supportive training environment where each child’s unique learning style is recognized. Her 1-on-1 coaching sessions are tailored with personalized drills, skill-building exercises, and stretching routines to help every athlete grow in confidence and ability.

Professional Basketball Player | Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist
Océane is the co-founder of Kaitlantis Agency and a member of our team who brings both real-life playing experience and creative skills. As a current professional basketball player, she helps support different projects while sharing insight from her journey in the sport.
She grew up in the Ottawa–Gatineau area and played basketball at both the NCAA and U SPORTS levels, where she won two national championships with the Carleton Ravens. Alongside her playing career, Océane has over 10 years of experience coaching youth in different sports. Having grown up attending basketball camps herself, she understands how important it is to give back and help young athletes believe in themselves and reach their full potential.
Behind the scenes, Océane helps improve the online visibility of Next Play Athletics through SEO. She also supports social media projects and helps create meaningful experiences for youth, building a strong community that makes Next Play Athletics stand out.

Brand & Web Designer
Sadeola Marine is a creative and driven member of the team who grew up in the Ottawa–Gatineau area and brings together coaching experience and strong design skills. As the co-owner of Kaitlantis Agency, she helps turn creative ideas into real, impactful visuals across many platforms.
She specializes in both brand identity and web design, creating logos, color palettes, and full brand packages, then carrying that brand consistently through websites and communication channels. By keeping designs cohesive and aligned with the brand, she helps businesses look professional, trustworthy, and easy to recognize.
Alongside her creative work, she has over four years of experience coaching youth in various sports. She is always excited to support Next Play Athletics when needed and enjoys helping young athletes grow.
