2025 St. Joseph High School Basketball Program
(Grade 7&8 Girls)
At the request of a local high school, Coach Alex stepped in as the Head Coach of the Grade 7&8 girls basketball team to provide them with the confidence and skills necessary to be successful, following multiple years of winless seasons for the team. With the additional support of amazing assistant coaches, the team achieved a 3-1 regular season record, and led the division with the most points scored. During the playoffs, they had decisive wins over their next 3 opponents, including the only team that had an undefeated season, and they ultimately won the gold medal. Coach Alex helped the girls to overcome the doubt and anxiety that was affecting their game and will proudly present them with their hard-earned championship banner - forever to be displayed in their school gym as a reminder of what they overcame and achieved.

2025 Intro to Basketball
(boys ages 8-12)
At the request of a group of homeschooling families, Coach Alex facilitated a 4-week program designed to give boys a chance to learn the game of basketball through fun and engaging activities in a small-group setting. They were introduced to basketball gameplay and received personalized attention as they completed skill-specific drills (for dribbling, shooting, passing and defense), and scrimmaging with one another. Sessions were run weekly for 1.5 hours at Earl of March Secondary School.

2025 Basketball Development Sessions
(U8/U10 girls)
Following the regular basketball season, Coach Alex took the time this spring to create extended development sessions for young athletes with under a year of experience playing the sport. They were given focused attention to grow their fundamental basketball skills and understanding of basketball gameplay with the intention of helping them feel more prepared and confident entering their next season of basketball. This program took place over four 1.5 hour sessions at Chapman Mills Public School. This program was capped at 24 participants.

Following the regular basketball season, Coach Alex launched an exciting off-season program for girls in the U10 and U12 development and competitive levels. The athletes dove into group conditioning sessions focused on basketball-specific workouts and injury prevention, all while pushing themselves to give their best effort. They took on advanced drills designed to elevate the fundamental skills they had already been building, and capped off each session with high-energy, fast-paced scrimmages that brought out their competitive spirit. With an increased demand and growing waitlist, the offering was expanded into two separate sessions. The U10 girls had five 2 hours sessions at Cedarview Middle School and the U12 girls had four 2 hours sessions at Adrienne Clarkson Elementary School. Fun was had, and even some of the parents got in a workout! These programs were capped at 30 participants each.

Over 40 girls joined us from 4 different local basketball clubs for four weeks of fast-paced basketball games with a mix of new and familiar teammates. Coaches guided players to improve their skills and teamwork while enjoying the thrill of friendly competition.

Over forty players from across the city dug deep for 2 months of weekly intense training. They participated in this unique program of basketball conditioning, game IQ coaching, and 3x3 scrimmage time. Sessions also included Team Time Outs - short discussions of important topics relevant to the young athletes and their sport while they enjoyed a snack to refuel after their workout and before the scrimmage. Sessions were 1.5h at Nepean Sportsplex. These awesome young athletes made the commitment to "Stay Ready" this offseason to best prepare themselves for their next basketball season.

Join Coach Josh for 4 weeks of advanced skills, building mental toughness, scrimmage time and encouraging confident, game-ready players.
